Beyonce took over the web on Wednesday Jan. 9 when her sensationally sexy February cover of GQ -- in which she's named among the Sexiest Women of the 21st Century -- was leaked early online. One year after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy, the singer, 31, appears to be in the best shape of her life: Flashing "underboob" in a cropped t-shirt and revealing her perfect abs and legs with a belly chain and skimpy bottoms.

And although Beyonce is over-the-moon to be a mom, the workaholic admits that it was tough not being able to do her job toward the end of her pregnancy in late 2011. "I love my job, but it's more than that: I need it. Because before I gave birth, it was the only time in my life, all throughout my life, that I was lost," she admits. "But I've sacrificed a lot of things, and I've worked harder than probably anyone I know, at least in the music industry. So I just have to remind myself that I deserve it."

Olivia Culpo was judged the most attractive woman in the universe — but it’s not her long dark hair, popping eyebrows or killer looks that draw you in. It’s that she’s real.

"I was at my parents house on my hands knees scrubbing the floor just two days ago," said the 20-year-old Rhode Islander on her first official day as reigning Miss Universe. "I was taught to value hard work. At the end of day, I'm just Olivia.

 Single Olivia, to be exact. Not that she’ll stay that way.

"I want a gentleman," she said, smiling. "Someone with manners. I may date this year. Maybe Prince Charming will come along. You boys better step it up."

So far, spies say crooner Joe Jonas and “Family Guy” creator and 2013 Oscar host Seth MacFarlane have come knocking. So has Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte — but Miss Universe pageant owner Donald Trump said the Olympian doesn’t stand a chance.

"That swimmer is all over her like a puppy dog," Trump said. "She's rebuffed all kinds of celebrities. Olivia is focused on being Miss Universe. She's a smart, good girl."

All the attention is a far cry from Culpo’s life last year, when she was at Boston University, where she studied acting and communications. She entered her first beauty pageant 15 months ago, winning Miss Rhode Island and then Miss USA. Now she's Miss Universe.

Her parents, classically trained musicians who met in a college orchestra pit, weren't exactly supportive.

"They hated the idea of me in a beauty pageant," said Culpo, the middle child in a family of five kids. "They thought it was narcissistic. They showed up to Miss Rhode Island in their sweatpants."

On her first day back in New York since the pageant, Culpo moved into the big bedroom in the free W. 57th St. apartment she shares with the new Miss USA. Then she was off to dinner with friends and a date with Hugh Jackman (alas, only on the screen in "Les Miserables").

Culpo first came to New York when she was in the second or third grade when she played Carnegie Hall with the Rhode Island Youth Philharmonic. In two weeks, she departs for Indonesia on her initial trip as Miss Universe. Her cause is HIV awareness.

Trump, who recently won a lawsuit against a former Miss USA contestant, thinks he got lucky with Culpo.

"You never know what you're going to get and sometimes it can hurt the brand," said Trump. "With Olivia, we have a major star. What's different about her is she's really nice. It's no act."

So she won’t be hanging out at nightclubs while she’s underage?

“Not unless I want to end up in the Daily News gossip pages,” laughed Culpo.

Playboy adapted bunny costumes for India

Playboy unveiled a new-look bunny costume on Wednesday for its upcoming Indian club launch, opting for a more demure take on the waitress outfits but keeping the ears, bow-ties and fluffy tails.

In a bid to appease conservative Indian values, the traditional skimpy corset has been replaced with a sari-inspired two-piece costume, comprising a one-shoulder top, a bare midriff and a sheer, full-length skirt with a split.

"Being able to introduce our brand in a responsible and meaningful way in India was our key objective," said Matthew Nordby, executive vice president of Playboy Enterprises, visiting Mumbai from Beverly Hills for the launch.

While Playboy magazine remains banned in India, the first club bearing the brand is due to open in the holiday state of Goa early next year, pushed back from the initially planned date of mid-December. The beachside outlet will be the first of 120 clubs, hotels, fashion cafes and shops planned in India over the next ten years by local franchisee PB Lifestyle.

"It's a natural fit with the growing middle-class and Generation Y here in India," Nordby told AFP.  The bunnies, who will serve drinks in the clubs, will be from overseas. "They're here in India, going through a rigorous bunny training programme," Nordby said.

Tourist officials in Goa have warned that they would shut down the inaugural Playboy club if there was any evidence of "obscenity, vulgarity or nudity". PB Lifestyle has assured no nudity will be involved.

Playboy magazine, along with a host of other foreign "adult" publications, is not permitted in India owing to obscenity laws banning material deemed "lascivious or appealing to prurient interests".

In 1912 Miss Elsie Scheel of Brooklyn was deemed the “most nearly perfect specimen of womanhood” out of 400 other coeds at Cornell that year. The 24-year-old Scheel had come to Cornell from Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn Heights—she enjoyed horticulture, outdoor sports, and was an ardent suffragette. One paper declared that she was "taller than Venus de Milo," standing five feet seven inches tall, weighing in "at a healthy 171 pounds, and possessing a decidedly pear-shaped figure (it measured 35-30-40)." Isn't that refreshing? According to the NY Times report, Scheel did not have "a single defect."

On her eating habits, the paper reported that she did not like candy or delicacies, but preferred beefsteak [note: as a woman, she wouldn't be able to attend the famous beefsteak dinners until the 1920s].

She rarely ate breakfast, and never drank tea or coffee. And here's an interesting fact they dropped in: "She has never been ill and doesn't know what fear is"—in fact, she told women that they would "be happier if they got over the fear of things."

Sadly, we cannot track down any photographs of Miss Scheel... but one woman brought her to life through society's more harsh modern day standards: "Miss Elsie Scheel’s BMI would have been 26.8, placing her squarely in today’s dreaded 'overweight' category... [and] at Banana Republic she would wear a size 8 top, a 12/14 bottom, and probably a 12 dress with the bust taken in." Go ahead and have that extra glass of egg nog next week, and toast Miss Scheer and a time when women weren't held to impossible standards.
